Perseid Meteor Shower

Sunday August 12, 2007
Tonight is the peak of the annual Perseid meteor shower. The meteors peak at about eighty per hour, which means slightly more than one per minute. Usually, they can be seen from inside the city limits, but it will be easier to see them in darker areas. Get a lounge chair to lie back on or a blanket to lie on so that you can look high in the sky without getting a crick in your neck. Also, use something to repel the bugs.
