Plano Balloon Festival

Friday September 21, 2007

The Plano Balloon Festival starts this evening at 4pm. The REMAX skydiving team gets things going at 5:30pm and the first balloons of the festival take off at 6pm. More balloon launches on Saturday and Sunday at 7am and 6pm and balloon glows on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm are the highlights of this festival, but there's plenty more besides. Live music, a Friday night street dance, two kids' areas (one free, one not), and a variety of food, beverage, and other vendors will fill Oak Point Park.

The Plano Balloon Festival is being held at Oak Point Park, on Spring Creek Parkway between Jupiter Road and Parker Road in Plano. Take DART's Red Line to the Parker Road station and catch the "Balloon Flyer" bus, which runs continuously while the festival is ongoing.
