New Year's Parade

Wednesday December 26, 2007

On December 31 (Monday), at 2pm, the Comerica Bank New Year's Parade will wind its way around downtown Dallas. Dozens of floats, marching bands, and performers will participate. Immediately following the parade, Arkansas and Missouri will hold pep rallies outside the American Airlines Center.

The parade starts at Elm Street and Ervay and heads down Ervay to make a right onto Main Street. At Lamar Street, the parade takes another right. The parade route follows Lamar to Houston Street and into Victory Park. It ends by the American Airlines Center.

Since it's a work day, parking in downtown Dallas will be scarce. For $5, you can park in the American Airlines Center parking lots E and H and the Platinum Garage. It might be easier to park at one of DART's Park and Ride locations and take the Red Line or the Blue Line light rail to the West End or the Akard station.
