Free Food

Tuesday July 15, 2008

Yea! Free food!

An early memory of mine is of a school field trip to a hibashi grill. Hibashi Teppan Grill, Sushi & BarFor $3 each, a group of fifth graders got dressed up, went to Benihana, and enjoyed the show. I loved it -- vegetables flying, seasonings bouncing off the edges of the grill, utensils twirling. It was great. I even ate the food. Picky eater that I was, that's a bit surprising. But I was caught up in the excitement. Hibashi Teppan Grill, Sushi & Bar is offering a free kid's meal with a dinner purchase every day until August 31. One kid under ten per family gets chicken teriyaki or chicken yakisoba after 5 p.m. An adult meal will cost $20-$50 and there is plenty on the menu in the lower end of the price range. Hibashi Teppan Grill, Sushi & Bar is located at 13465 Inwood Road, across from Galleria Dallas and the Westin Hotel at the northwest corner of Dallas North Tollway and LBJ Freeway (635).

Dallas Fish MarketDallas Fish Market has free sushi with the purchase of a drink, including drink specials ($5 for signature cocktails and house wines), on Wednesdays 5 p.m.-8 p.m. A full meal will cost $25-60 per person. Dallas Fish Market is located at 1501 Main Street in downtown Dallas.

Go Fish Ocean ClubFor more free sushi, head to Go Fish on Thursdays, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Go Fish also has free sushi with the purchase of a drink, including drink specials ($5 for signature cocktails and house wines).
