Parade for Nastia Liukin

Nastia Liukin at the 2008 Beijing OlympicsThe city of Parker is holding a parade for hometown hero Nastia Liukin on Aug 30 at 9 a.m. The parade route (map, pdf) starts at Victory Church (6301 E. Parker Road) and follows Parker Road west for a little over a mile, makes a U-turn, and returns back to Victory Church via Parker Road.

Participants include Nastia Liukin (of course), her family, fire engines, horses, the Plano East Senior High School marching band, and many public officials from North Texas. Parking is at Gate 5 at Southfork Ranch (map, pdf).
