Film Festivals

Wednesday November 12, 2008

Two film festivals are going on this week. The Lone Star International Film Festival starts today in downtown Fort Worth with the film "Sunshine Cleaning" at 7:30 p.m. at the AMC Palace 8 (220 E 3rd Street), followed by the opening night party at the Fort Worth Club (306 W 7th Street) at 9:30 p.m., and finally an after party at Scat Jazz Lounge (111 W 4th Street). All three locations are within easy walking distance of each other. If you register at the LSIFF web site, you can rate and review films and plan out your own viewing and partygoing schedule. But you can still browse the schedule and read other people's reviews without registering.

Out Takes Dallas is starting its new "Season of Film" with "The World Unseen" at the Inwood Theatre (5458 W Lovers Lane) in Dallas. A premier party precedes the film and begins at 6 p.m.
