Queso Chugging

In the annals of weird food contests, queso chugging has to be one of the weirdest (please don't disabuse me of that notion). On Saturday at 10 a.m., Manny's (3521 Oak Grove Avenue in Dallas) and kgb are hosting a queso chugging contest. Whoever chugs the most queso in two minutes wins $500. I hope it's good, homemade queso and not that oily stuff that comes from a jar at the supermarket.

It's part of a weekend of giveaways by kgb, a directory assistance and information company. They'll be in bars around Dallas -- Club Barcadia, Milo Butterfinger’s, Corner Bar, Idlerich, Barley House, The Loon and more -- asking questions about what Dallasites really want to know and giving away prizes.
