Howdy folks. It's time for the State Fair of Texas. If you've never been to the State Fair, you're in for a treat. It's the one festival you will not want to miss. Why? It's the 125th anniversary celebration. It's going to be bigger and better than ever. If you frequent the fair, you'll find lots of new (fried) foods, concerts, automobiles and more to enjoy. The midway even has some new kiddie rides. Oh boy! My daughter loves the Winky the Whale ride -- and the teacups. The ride operators remember her every year and that just makes me smile!
It's also the perfect place to spend an afternoon people watching.
