Tony Romo Interception Blows Dallas Cowboys Comeback Hopes

By December 30, 2012

Follow me on:

Sunday night's game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins was do or die. Loser goes home. Winner goes on to enjoy the playoffs.

And it's the end of the road for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys kept it close -- within striking range up until the last minutes of the game. Tony Romo was looking for the blitz that burned him all night as he lobbed up an interception with 3 minutes to go in the fourth.

The Cowboys played some great pretty good defense in the 4th quarter, shutting down RG3 (Robert Griffin III) and the Washington Redskin offense, putting them out of field goal range.

It was a 3-interception night for Romo.

In the final Washington drive, the Cowboys got nailed for roughing the passer (not hard) but that turned out to be another nail in the coffin for the Cowboys. The Redskins scored and the Cowboys got one more shot to do anything -- but it's over.

Sing. Sing. Sing. Sing.
There. The fat lady sang. Game over. Season over. Buh bye.

Is Romo the future for the Cowboys?
Who knows? The best thing Jerry  Jones could do is fire himself as GM, possibly Romo or steal RG3 (I believe I mentioned that during the NFL draft).

Final Score
Dallas: 18
Redskins: 28* Washinton has now won 7 straight games. They will play Seattle next.
