By now you've probably noticed red and pink hearts and decorations everywhere across the Metroplex in preparation for Valentine's Day 2013. Are you ready to wine and dine your sweetie?
In case you're the sort of person who Christmas shops on December 24th, here are a few resources you might want to have in your love-day arsenal.
If you haven't made a reservations for Valentine's Day, it's not too late -- at some places at least. Here are just some of the restaurants offering special V-Day menus in DFW.
Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate!
So many truffles, so little time. Here are some of DFW's best gourmet chocolate go-to places. I love Dude, Sweet Chocolate and Coco Andre! If I were married to a cardiologist, I'd totally buy Dude's anatomically-correct heart made of crack (the chocolate form of crack, that is).
On a Budget?
If that new payroll tax is taking a bite out of your paycheck, here are some inexpensive ideas for Valentine's Day. My husband just participated in the Number One item on the list. He gave blood and potentially saved several lives. If that's not love, I don't know what love is!
I had a particularly challenging week this week so I bought myself a dozen white roses at Costco for only $15.99. (Back in the day, you could get 2 dozen for the same price). But anyway, they are lovely and I enjoying looking at them. And I love that they didn't cost $75 or more. Here are some of DFW's florists that really deliver.
