Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival
The 23rd annual Main Street Arts Festival will fill downtown Fort Worth with art, music, and street performers. Over two hundred artists will display their creations. Three stages feature local and national musicians. Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth will perform Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. Strolling performers will entertain the crowds all day long. The Yo-Yo People, a husband and wife team whose show exhibits all sorts of tricks with yo-yos, will perform on the stage and in the street at various times.
Main Street Arts Festival runs April 17-20 (Thu-Sun) and opens each morning at 10 a.m. Admission is free. Food and drinks must be purchased with coupons which are sold on-site. Ten coupons costs $7 and most food and drinks will cost between four and ten coupons. There is parking in downtown Fort Worth, but I prefer to take the train and walk up the hill to Main Street. Park for free at any of the TRE's or DART's Park and Ride locations and take the train to the Fort Worth ITC station.
