"All your strength is in your union. All your danger is in discord; therefore be at peace henceforward, and as brothers live together." - - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Alexander Hogue and Jerry Bywaters created ten murals in 1934 depicting the history of Dallas. These murals were originally at City Hall, but were destroyed in 1954 when City Hall relocated. Philip Lamb recreated the murals in 1995 and now they can be seen on the platforms at Union Station.

The murals are composed of a reconstruction of the original image, in brown and white, and an update of the scene, in full color. The first set of murals covers the history of Dallas up to 1900.
