In case you've been living under a rock, it's a TV show about a handful of mothers and daughters living in the Dallas area who dine out at fabulous restaurants, shop in fabulous stores, are obsessed with vintage couture, curse like sailors, and fight like cats and dogs. Sounds like a good time to me!
These mother-daughter duos are always up to something. Season 2 highlighted all the ups and downs of life in Big D including beauty pageants and pregnancy scares, more social events than you can imagine, Moms getting back into the dating scene, and the happy renewal of wedding vows. Did I mention that it was a corpse wedding theme? (Season 2: Episode: 4: "Bride and Doom").
Cast members have been slapped in the face, had drinks thrown at them and you never know what's going down from episode to episode. One minute you're friends with someone, and the next minute there's rumors and gossip flying. And later somebody's apologizing or getting kicked out of Woodhaven Country Club or something like that. There's yelling and cussing and making a scene in public places. Isn't that what everyone in Dallas does? (Well, maybe only the rich). But from the ratings, viewers love it and want more cat fights and boozing brawls! Party on girls.
Where the Show Takes Place
Shows are centered around the cast members' DFW-area homes, the Woodhaven Country Club in Fort Worth and local businesses and restaurants.
When and Where
Catch "Big Rich Texas" at 7 p.m. on the Style Network.
And That's Not All
The NBCUniversal-owned cable network is also launching the spinoff "Big Rich Georgia." Won't it be fun to compare and contrast the other Southern ladies?
