The event ends with a parade and a lighting of the 40-foot Christmas tree on Exchange Avenue. Christmas in the Stockyards is free and is held in the Fort Worth Stockyards at East Exchange Avenue in Fort Worth.

Dec 6, 4 p.m. The city of Irving is holding a holiday extravaganza that includes music by the Irving Symphony Orchestra, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a fireworks show. A parade winds through the Irving Heritage District starting at 4 p.m. and the tree-lighting ceremony takes place at 6 p.m.
Dec 13-28, 6 p.m.-11 p.m. More than 200 homeowners in the Interlochen neighborhood of Arlington decorate their homes for this tour each year. When touring the neighborhood, keep to the right to allow emergency vehicles and residents to get to the houses. Pedestrian traffic is permitted, if you prefer not to drive. Enter the neighborhood from Westwood Drive at Randol Mill Road.
Dec 15-19, noon-1 p.m. WRR 101.1 FM broadcasts holiday carols live from the lobby of the Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas each weekday.
