Easter Events in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex

Once you're done with Easter fun at your local church or community park, check out some of these fun parades and fairs or relax with a leisurely brunch. Easter Sunday falls on March 23 in 2008.

Easter Weekend at the Dallas Arboretum

Apr 10-12. Eddie Coker's children's concert will be on Fri, Apr 10 at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. There will also be a petting zoo on Sat, Apr 11, noon-4 p.m. and Sun, Apr 12, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Photos with live bunnies, a silhouette artist, and live music round out the entertainment.

Stockyards Easter Parade & Egg Hunt

Apr 11. Participate in a Texas-sized egg hunt and watch a parade. Bring your own camera and take pictures with the Easter Bunny from noon until 2 p.m. and learn about live chicks and bunnies until 3 p.m. It's all free. Egg hunt starts at noon. Parades start at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Pawnee Bill's Wild West Easter Weekend Show is at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Easter Egg Celebration in Bedford

Apr 4, 10 a.m.-noon. The city of Bedford sponsors an egg hunt each year. Starting at 10 a.m. at the Bedford Boys Ranch Pavilion, kids ten and under can enjoy crafts, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a snack, and an egg hunt involving more than 10,000 eggs. The egg hunt starts at 10:20 a.m., so don't be late. The cost is $5.00 per child and reservations are required. Call (817) 952-2323 to pre-register.

Easter Brunch at the Texas Ballroom

Apr 12, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Enjoy a special Easter brunch at this restaurant at the Gaylord Texas Resort and Convention Center. Cost for the brunch is $65 for an adult ticket and one free child's ticket (ages twelve and under) will be included with each paid adult ticket. Brunch buffet, sparkling wine, an egg hunt, live music, and parking is included in the price. Call (817) 778-1000 for reservations.

Brunch at the Kimbell Art Museum

The restaurant at the Kimbell Art Museum in the Fort Worth Cultural District offers a delicious menu of chef-prepared fare. The menu changes daily. Open Sunday from noon to two for lunch and two to four for drinks and dessert. Afterwards, stroll through the museum's collection or their latest exhibit.

Brunch at the Dallas Museum of Art

The Atrium at the Museum of Art in Dallas serves light, but satisfying fare on Sundays 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
