At 8 p.m., add some spice to your New Year's Eve with this Carnival performance, including salsa music and elaborately costumed dancers. The performance is at Bass Hall, 525 Commerce Street in downtown Fort Worth. Tickets are for sale online and range in cost from $29-$80 per seat.
Dec 31, 8:30 p.m.-1 a.m., solve this mystery/comedy. Keith and Margo's Murder Mystery Texas will have you laughing your way to the New Year. Packages are the basic for $259 and the deluxe for $379 per couple. The basic includes hors-d'oeuvre, a four-course gourmet dinner, a glass of wine and a glass of champagne, dancing, prizes, and party favors. The deluxe package adds on a room and breakfast for two. Omni Dallas Hotel in Dallas.
The House of Blues has two shows to choose from on New Year's Eve: a country and western show and a Tom Petty tribute band. Cross Canadian Ragweed, Wade Bowen, and Mickey & the Motor Cars play at 8 p.m. and the doors open at 7:30 p.m. The cost for the show is $75.50 -- with a dinner package, $200. All ages are welcome. In the Pontiac Room, Petty Theft, a Tom Petty tribute band, will be playing at 9 p.m. Doors open at 9pm and the cost is $35. Only those over 21 are welcome to the Petty Theft show.
Country musicians Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights play at the Granada Theater on New Year's Eve. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets cost $12-20.
Chris Cagle is playing at Billy Bob's Texas on New Year's Eve. Tickets cost $28 or $18. Billy Bob's Texas is the world's largest honky-tonk and is located at 2520 Rodeo Plaza in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
If noisy parties aren't your cup of tea, try some hockey. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15-$150.
