Build-A-Bear Workshop lets the kids create their own stuffed animal, dress them, and accessorize them. The only limit is their imagination (and your wallet). Build-A-Bear Workshop offers party planning for groups of more than six.
Cottonbelt Trail - North Richland Hills Segment
The Cottonbelt Trail is part of the planned Dallas Fort Worth Veloweb which will connect suburbs to downtown and residential neighborhoods to the areas where the residents work. The North Richland Hills segment of the Cottonbelt Trail stretches for four miles from Precinct Line Road to Browning Drive.
At Build-A-Bear Workshops, kids get to build, dress, and accessorize their own stuffed animal. The new toys get a birth certificate with the name of the stuffed animal and the owner's name. More recently, a virtual Build-A-Bear allows new owners to have online adventures with their stuffed animal. Parties start as low as $10 per guest.
Chuck E. Cheese's
Chuck E. Cheese has been a favorite of kids for years now. Kids can play a variety of family-friendly video games and the games area is separated into sections for the littlest ones and the older ones. The pizza and games place has party packages that include pizza, drinks, and game tokens.

Fair Park Passport
The Fair Park Passport is a great deal for anyone who wants to see several of the museums at Fair Park. The Passport allows for a single visit to each of eight museums. The visits can all be on one day or spread out over ninety days.
Giant Spider Web at Lake Tawakoni
In August 2007, Texas Parks and Wildlife officials noticed a huge spiderweb spanning two-hundred feet of trail. Primarily formed by long-jawed orb weavers, the spiderweb spread out to cover more territory by Labor Day.
Burger's Lake is a one-acre spring-fed swimming hole inside Loop 820 in Fort Worth. A great way to cool down in summer, the lake is surrounded by a thirty-acre recreational area.
Main Street Days in Grapevine
Late in May of each year, Grapevine celebrates Main Street Days. The outdoor festival always has music, arts and crafts, and entertainment. Exhibits and demonstrations highlight the opportunities for outdoor activities available in the Metroplex.
Free Summer Films
Movie theatres across the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex offer free films for the kids in the summer. Some places, like city parks, set up a big screen each week.
National Scouting Museum
The official museum of the Boy Scouts of America is located in Irving. Admission is free on Mondays.
Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas has provided thrills for Metroplex residents and tourists since 1961. The rides and shows are top of the line.
Waterslides, pools, and a lazy river make this a great destination in the summer.
The Dallas Zoo houses hundreds of animals in their ninety-five-acre park. Rides and restaurants keep kids entertained all day. You can reach the zoo from the Dallas Zoo train station on DART's red line.
Fort Worth Zoo
With over 5000 animals, many of which are rare or endangered, touring the entire zoo can take most of the day. Picnic areas outside the zoo and restaurants inside the zoo keep you well-fed.
Great Wolf Equals Great Fun in Grapevine
Great Wolf is an indoor water park/resort with a seasonal outdoor section. You must be a guest of the hotel to have access to the indoor and/or outdoor waterparks.
