The massive spiderweb at Lake Tawakoni State Park is centered around this pond. All the rains we had this spring and into June filled the lakes and every slight depression in the ground. Lake Tawakoni, like other Texas lakes, started receding when the rains stopped and temperatures rose, leaving this pond as the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes.
