The abundance of food has attracted many other species of spiders. Some eat the same food that brought the long-jawed orb weavers and some eat the weavers themselves. This true orb weaver (a different family from long-jawed orb weavers) was about three inches long in the body. The zigzag design on her web is typical of the true orb weavers.
