Komen Dallas Race for the Cure:

The Komen Dallas Race for the Cure is an annual 1K and 5K fundraising walk/run event held at NorthPark Center. It is a co-ed race and great fun for the entire family. The Race is in its 28th year and is part of a national 5K series sponsored by Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The goal of the event is to raise funds, heighten awareness and educate people about breast health as well as to recognize and celebrate breast cancer survivorship.

Registration:

  • Register online at www.komen-dallas.org/race until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, 10/11/10.
  • In-person registration at NorthPark Center (between Nordstrom & Neiman Marcus) is: Wednesday, 10/13/10 through Friday, 10/15/10 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Race morning Saturday, 10/16/10 from 6 a.m. - 8 a.m.
  • In-person registration at Luke's Locker is Wednesday, 10/13/10 through Friday, 10/15/10.
  • Race Fees:

  • Online registration is $32/adult & $20/child (under 12).
  • Mailed registration is $35/ adult and $20/child under the age of 12. Must be post marked by Friday, 10/1/10.
  • In-person registration is $35 Wed - Fri and $40 on Race Day, Saturday, 10/16/10. Race Packets
  • Location:

  • Both the 1K and the 5K race will begin and end at NorthPark Center.
  • The race will occur rain or shine (unless extreme circumstances).
  • Fundraising:

    Fundraising is not mandatory but greatly appreciated.

    6:30 a.m. Registration inside NorthPark Center

    6:30 a.m. Survivor Breakfast

    7:30 a.m. Fun Walk/Fun Run Start

    8 a.m. 5K Walk/Run Start. Line up on Park Lane heading North

    9:30 a.m. Survivor Celebration and Awards Presentation begins

    Survivor Celebration:

    After participating in the 1K or 5K walk, plan to meet back in the survivor tent to line up for the survivor ceremony. The Emerald City Band will entertain survivors and race participants.
