2. Free Summer Movies

Check out free screenings of kid-appropriate movies in Frisco Square and other great locations in DFW! Bring a chair or blanket and snacks.

3. Spray Parks

Dallas Spray Parks are a great way to beat th heat. Better yet, they are free. Don't forget the sunscreen.

4. Dallas Pools

Dallas has 7 public pools open until September 6, 2010. There's no better way to beat the triple-digit temperatures than a trip to the pool.

5. Arlington Pools

Plan a Stay-cation! Even if you don't live in Arlington, the city has half a dozen fantastic pools. Many have snack concessions available. Did I hear someone say snowcone?

6. Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge is an indoor water park/resort with a seasonal outdoor section located in Grapevine, Texas. The kids can swim; you can get a massage. Everyone's happy.

7. Summer Concert Series

DFW offers many great venues for free concerts. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic basket and you are all set.

8. June Events Calendar

Catch a great concert. Jordin Sparks of American Idol fame is coming to DFW and so are The Eagles.

9. Kaboom Town!

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Kaboom Town! It’s the town of Addison’s most explosive party of the year. Kaboom Town! features a dazzling, 30-minute fireworks display that’s choreographed to music. It's an all-day event ending with a free movie.

10. Frisco Pools

Chill. There are places in Frisco to swim and enjoy a sprayground too.

11. June Festivals and Activities

June's hot -- but there are cool things to do like to to Shakespeare in the Park.
