D'Vine winery pulled me in with a window sign declaring wine-a-ritas for $6 (cash, not coupons). Never one to pass up a margarita, I had never tried a margarita made from wine. Rules this year from the Main Street Days organizers stated that I had to drink it on the premises and couldn't take it out to the festival. I relaxed for a few moments in the air-conditioned coolness and relative peace, then headed back out into the crowd.
Nearby, the Budweiser Clydesdales stood in their stalls watching people go by. A sleepy Dalmatian "guarded" a golf cart. The donkey wasn't there this year. I'm told the ad campaign is over, so presumably the donkey retired, but I liked him.
An above-ground pool provided the opportunity to try scuba diving for ten coupons. Kayak demonstrations and short lessons and RC boat demonstrations were ongoing. A whole carnival entertained kids of all ages behind Main Street. The ferris wheel cost eight coupons. A dragon roller coaster ride cost six coupons.

Community departments also had booths with informational materials and items for the kids. The police and fire departments gave out stickers, pens, bookmarks, and coloring books. Parks and recreation had information about sponsored summer activities. Water conservation pamphlets, trails, and lakes information lay on tables.
Grapevine is known for its wineries and vineyards. Wine tours departed from the North Entrance every half hour on Saturday and Sunday.
An outdoor misting system provided a bit of relief when things got too warm. Other amenities included a row of port-a-potties so long that no one had to wait in line and a diaper-changing tent.
