All Western Parade Kicks off Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Winter's chill won't keep us from enjoying festivals and parades.

1. Texas Rangers Fan Festival

Attention sports fans. Make plans to go out and meet the Texas Rangers at the Arlington Convention Center. Rangers Fan Fest runs January 11-12, 2013. Meet your favorite Texas Rangers player or coach, get autographs and ask questions, check out the batting cages or the indoor wiffle ballpark. You can also admire the display with the American League Champions trophy.

It's OK to bring your own camera. Professional photographers are also available and photos may be purchased online.

Hours: Friday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: The Arlington Convention Center is located at 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX 76011. 817-459-5000.

  • Adults: 2-Day Pass: $40
  • Individual Day Pass: $25
  • Kids (13 & under): 2-Day Pass: $25
  • Individual Day Pass: $15.
  • 2. All Western Parade - Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

    It's time for the 2012 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. It's great rodeo action, world-class livestock shows, kid-friendly exhibits, daily live music, terrific food, carnival midway, four acres of unique daily shopping and more. The Stock Show and Rodeo runs from January 19, 2013 through February 9, 2013.

    The All Western Parade is Saturday, January 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. in downtown Fort Worth. The Fort Worth Stock Yards are located at 3400 Burnett Tandy Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76107. Ticket office: 817-877-2420

    3. 25th Annual PartyFest

    What: The 25th Annual Partyfest “Spring Showcase” is the largest one-day exhibition and tradeshow of its kind held in the Southwest. It's a spectacular one-day event featuring over 250 of DFW’s top party & event suppliers. Check out the hottest industry trends while networking with the pros. Educational seminars, food & beverage samplings, silent auction (benefiting SPCA of Texas) & exciting new product demonstrations will be highlighted throughout the day to help YOU plan your next special event.

    When: Wednesday, January 9th, 2013. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tradeshow & Silent Auction (benefiting SPCA of Texas) 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Educational Seminars.

    Cost: $10.00 at the door

    Where: Dallas Market Hall – Dallas, TX 2200 N. Stemmons Frwy. at Market Center Blvd.

    5. Lunar New Year "Tet-In-DFW" Festival

    Lunar New Year "Tet-In-DFW" Festival showcases a wide range of professional and community performing artists, business and corporate displays, traditional and non-traditional activities, talent competitions, food fair, art dealers and much more.     6. 28th Annual KIDFILM, USA Festival

    January 26-7, 2013.

    To submit a film or video work for consideration to the annual KidFilm Festival, there is NO form or fee.
