DFW hosts many festivals this spring.

1. March 2-4: North Texas Irish Festival

March 2-4, 2012 at Fair Park in Dallas. NTIF 2012 is the 30th anniversary festival. Purchase tickets at DFW Tom Thumb stores and get a discount.

2. March 2-3: Argyle Bluegrass Festival

What: Argyle Bluegrass Festival

When: March 2-3, 2012

3. March 3 - April 8: Dallas Blooms

What: Dallas Blooms! is the largest floral festival in the Southwest with over 500,000 blooming bulbs and flowering flora.

When: March 3 through April 8, 2012

4. March 8-10: 35 Denton Music Festival

35 Denton is a four-day walkable music festival that takes place at a varity of locations in Denton. Two main stages plus performances at locations like Dan's Silverleaf, Mellow Mushroom and more. March 8-11, 2012.

5. March 9-10: 7th Annual Chocolate Festival

What: 7th Annual Chocolate Festival in Grapevine - featuring chocolate, wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, live jazz, art exhibits and sales from local artisans.

When: March 9-10, 2012.

6. March 17: Greenville Avenue St. Patrick's Day Parade

What: Greenville Avenue's annual St. Patty's Day Parade is something you just need to experience. Food, green beverages at local pubs and restaurants, music and more. For a brief time, there was some concern that the 2012 Parade might not take place due to financial concerns. But thanks to a generous donation by Dallas Maverick's owner Mark Cuban, the parade will go on as planned. Thank you Mark Cuban!

7. March 23-25: Texas Pinball Festival

Are you a Pinball Wizard? Play vintage and new arcade games at the Texas Pinball Festival. March 23-25, 2012. Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center, 1800 Hwy. 26 E., Grapevine. Info at 214-471-5777. Adults and teens, $10-$40; children, $5-$30; 5 and under are free.

8. March 24: TruckStock 2012

Food Truck Festival

What: Fresh food prepared by 17 food trucks plus one music truck in one location. To date it's the largest food truck event in DFW. Trucks scheduled to participate include The Butcher's Son, Gandolfo's New York Deli Dallas, Nammi Truck, Ruthie's Rolling Cafe, Lee's Grilled Cheese, Cup-Cakin, So-Cal Tacos, Tin Star Taco Taxi, Little Vessel Grill, Jack's ChowHound, Rock N Roll Tacos, Gepetto's Pizza, Rollin' Diner & Grill, Three Lions, Zombie's Food Truck, Four Seasons and Dos Paisanos.

Where: Truck Stock will be at 1881 Sylvan in Dallas.

When: 2-7 p.m. March 24, 2012

9. Arts in the Square

Art festival fun in Frisco.

10. March 30-31: Savor Dallas

Savor a world-class selection of over 400 premium wines, spirits, imported beers, food and music. Don't miss the “Wine Stroll” -- wine and food tasting in the Dallas Museum of Arts-Seventeen Seventeen Restaurant; Meyerson Symphony Center; Nasher Sculpter Center; Winspear Opera House; and Wyly Theatre; indoor tastings 5 to 7 p.m., featuring signature tasting samples from 60 of DFW's top chefs.
