1. Nov 4-6: Romanian Festival
What: It's the 6th annual Romanian Festival. Come taste the flavors of some of the favorite Romanian foods. Choose from "ciorba," "sarmale," "mititei," "carnati," "mamaliga," "cozonac" and more traditional specialties. Try your favorite or something new. Music.

2. Nov 5: Festival at the Switchyard
It's Carrollton's second annual festival at the Switchyard featuring arts and crafts, live music (free concerts by Third Eye Blind and Austin's Bob Schneider), food, shopping and much more. Lots of fun activities are planned for the kids like indoor rock climbing, sports-related midway games (football toss, radar clocking baseball pitch) plus laser tag, hampster ball races, trackless train and more.When: Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: The Festival takes place on the streets of Historic Downtown Carrollton on the east side of I-35E, between the George Bush Turnpike and LBJ Freeway at Belt Line Road.
Cost: Free (including concerts).
3. Nov 13: Chili Pepperama
What: The Chile Pepperama combines fiery food and hot music. Hot and fiery food vendors, arts and crafts, music and more. Hot and Spicy Taste of Greenville: Enjoy spicy foods from Dallas restaurants and vote on your favorite sample. Food samples will cost $3 for 3 ounce serving. Live music on the Pepper Stage all day.
When: Sunday, November 13, 2011 Judge the Texas Chefs Association Chili Cookoff from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

4. Nov 4-5: Celina Balloon Festival
What: The Celina Balloon Festival features a Classic Car Show on November 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., live bands, carnival performers, midway rides, petting zoo, toddler area, food and lots of fun.
When: November 4-5, 2011

5. Nov 11-13: Fort Worth Greek Festival
What: The 44th annual Fort Worth Green Festival. Greek food, fun and dancing. A great event for the entire family - and you don't have to be Greek to attend.

6. Nov 11-13: Lakewood Home Festival
What: The Home Festival began in 1976 when the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA staged a tour showcasing five distinctive and historic neighborhood homes as a fundraiser to purchase playground equipment for kindergarten children. In the past five years, LECPTA has raised more than $750,000 for Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School.

Candlelight Tour: This intimate event provides a first glimpse into the six spectacular homes plus one bonus home showcased during the festival on Friday, November 11, from 5 - 7:30 p.m.
Tickets: Tickets may be purchased at Lakewood Elementary school the days of the event, on the website, retail location, or at any house.
7. Nov 18: Beaujolais Beyond Wine Festival
What: Sample Beaujolais and much more, sponsored by the French-American Chamber of Commerce. Ticket price includes commemerative glass, food and wine tasting, entertainment, silent auction and more. Meet Miss Texas 2011.
When: Friday, November 18, 2011 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets: $60 in advance; $65 at the door. Raffle tickets are $5 for a trip to France.
