History:
This year marks the 75th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. Originally playing at its namesake stadium in Dallas, Texas, the Cotton Bowl was conceived in 1937. The bowl formed a relationship with AT&T (at the time Southwestern Bell) in 1996 and has currently one of the longest sponsorships among the bowls. The Cotton Bowl Classic, sponsored by AT&T, will be played on January 7, 2011 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
2011 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic:
The Cotton Bowl Classic will be played on January 7, 2011 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kickoff is set for 7:27 p.m. CST and the game will be televised on FOX. Considered a top bowl destination outside of the BCS bowls, the Cotton Bowl matches up the #3 or #4 SEC team against the #2 Big 12 team.
The 2011 Cotton Bowl features the No. 11-ranked LSU Tigers vs. the No. 17-ranked Texas A&M Aggies.
