Cotton Bowl?
If you were wondering, yes this football game used to be played in the actual Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park in Dallas. The Cotton Bowl pitted a second place team in the Big 12 Conference (formerly Southwestern Conference) against a third or fourth place team from the SEC (Southeastern Conference). This move was in an attempt for the Cotton Bowl to become a part of the BCS (Bowl Championship Series), but that attempt was not successful.
Past Cotton Bowl Matchups
In 2011, the Cotton Bowl matchup was between Texas A&M and Louisiana State University. LSU won 41-24.
