Super Bowl XLV will be played on February 6, 2011. Kick-off time is approximately 5:25 p.m. CST. The Green Bay Packers will play the Pittsburgh Steelers for the coveted Lombardi Trophy. Super Bowl Sunday is famous for football, food and those zany commercials.
The gates will open approximately four hours before game time so fans can enjoy the festivities. Cowboys Stadium in Arlington is host to the 2011 Super Bowl.
The Venue
Super Bowl XLV will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. This state-of-the-art stadium was completed in 2009 and it will seat more than 90,000 comfortably--and up to 100,000 with standing room only spaces--serving as the largest venue to host a Super Bowl since the Rose Bowl in 1993.

The Challengers: The NFC and AFC champs will go head-to-head in the most-watched game in American sports. On January 23, 2011 the Green Bay Packers became the NFC champs and the Pittsburgh Steelers became the AFC champs.
The Prize: The title, bragging rights and the coveted Lombardi Trophy.

Halftime Entertainment
The Black Eyed Peas are scheduled to be Super Bowl XLV's halftime entertainment. The group features Will I Am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo.
Since their 1995 debut, the band has sold more than 28 million albums and 31 million digital tracks. The newest album, “The Beginning”, is being released this week (third week of January) and includes the latest hit single “The Time (Dirty Bit)”.
Country singer Keith Urban will perform a pre-game show at 2 p.m. before the big game. The pre-game concert will be televised by FOX.

If you want to see the game up close and personal, only 1% of Super Bowl tickets are distributed to fans by the NFL, controlled through an annual random drawing that begins in February of the prior year and ends the following June.
Super Bowl XLV tickets are still available through NFL On Location. Prepare to pay top dollar for tickets to the most popular and most-watched sporting event of the year. Prices start at $2,599.

Halftime of the Cowboys’ annual Thanksgiving game has become the second most watched musical event of the year since Cowboys VP Charlotte Jones Anderson turned it into a musical feast in 1997. That show draws more TV viewers than the Emmys and kicks off the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle campaign.
The Super Bowl Halftime Show is Number One, five or six times over. Anderson was instrumental in winning the Super Bowl bid for North Texas and is a member of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee’s Board of Directors. For the first time ever, the New Orleans Saints celebrated a world championship by winning Super Bowl XLIV in Miami. New Orleans defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-17. Saints quarterback Drew Brees was named the MVP of Super Bowl XLIV.
Super Bowl XLIV's halftime entertainment featured legendary rock band The Who.
The Who had followed such classic rock Super Bowl acts as Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2. And no one has forgotten about Janet Jackson’s infamous “wardrobe malfunction” in Houston in 2004.
