The trailhead of the Cottonbelt Trail in Colleyville is in the 100 block of L. D. Lockett Road, near the intersection of Bettinger Road. The trail heads northeast between the Cotton Belt Railway and L. D. Lockett Road, crossing the 6100 block of Bransford Road and the 6400 block of Pleasant Run Road. It runs along the edge of the Pleasant Run Soccer Complex and Park and continues past subdivisions along a tree-shaded path.
The Cottonbelt Trail portion ends at the block of John McCain Road, near the intersection of Grapevine Highway, although the hike and bike path continues across John McCain Road and turns west away from the Cotton Belt Railway for a about another third of a mile, ending at Pebble Hill Drive.
Points of Interest:
The Colleyville portion on the Cottonbelt Trail is mostly tree-shaded and runs alongside quiet neighborhoods and farmland.
The Pleasant Run Soccer Complex and Park is a 33-acre park with soccer fields, picnic tables, concession facilities (not always open), and restrooms.
