Cottonbelt Trail - Hurst, Texas Segment

by Heather Carr
for About.com

The Cottonbelt Trail is part of the planned Dallas Fort Worth Veloweb which will connect suburbs to downtown and residential neighborhoods to the areas where the residents work. The Hurst segment of the Cottonbelt Trail is still in the planning stages. When complete, it will stretch for one mile from Precinct Line Road at the Hurst/North Richland Hills city line to the Hurst/Colleyville near the intersection of Bettinger Drive and L. D. Lockett Road.

Potential Access Points:

Right now, no parks lie along the proposed Cottonbelt Trail. There are few undeveloped places where small parks might be built.

Points of Interest:

The Cotton Belt Railway has a bridge which goes over the Little Bear Creek and is very picturesque. Most of the trail would lie between quiet residential areas.
