Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park

by Heather Carr
for About.com

The Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park features themed gardens with native and adapted plants. The caretakers pride themselves on their organic gardening methods with low water use and environmentally friendly practices. Seven and a half acres show off an inspiring selection of plants.

The gardens can be enjoyed on your own or with a guided garden walk. The guided garden walks provide an in-depth look at each garden and are included with the price of admission. Plan for about an hour to view the chosen garden.
