In 2013, Hawaiian Falls will celebrate Champions Day on Saturday, June 22 and Saturday, August 17 at all five Hawaiian Falls waterparks. Children/adults with special needs and their families will have exclusive use of the park from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The parks will open to the public 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. but the Champions and their families can stay as long as they want at no additional charge.
Free/Reduced Price Admission
Champions (special needs children or adults) get in for free. Family members can purchase special discount tickets for $5 each (regular admission is $26.99) with a Champions Day coupon, available for download here.
The water park had hosted the event in The Colony the past two years -- so 2013 is the first time it will be celebrated at all five locations.
“Special needs children deserve their own time at the park where they can splash and play with their families when it’s a little quieter,” said Emily Bennett, marketing director of Hawaiian Falls. “We’ve held Champions Day for the past several seasons now and they are very well received by the families.”
Do I Need to Bring Some Sort of Medical Information?
No. In a nutshell, Hawaiian Falls believes that a parent knows if a child (or adult) has special needs and that is sufficient. All they need to do is to go to hfalls.com and print out the Champions Day coupon. There's no limit on how many family members may attend or how they are related. So feel free to bring Uncle Sal and Aunt Gertrude because they just pay $5. Caregivers are welcome to come too - $5.
Champions Day is from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, then again Saturday, August 17, at all five Hawaiian Falls waterparks: Garland, The Colony, Mansfield, Roanoke and Waco.
