In honor of Texas Independence Day, the park will celebrate all things related to the Lone Star State with a park-opening tribute and a special online ticket offer for Opening Day weekend. General admission tickets may be purchased online for $18.36 plus tax, and they are good for either Saturday, March 2 (Texas Independence Day) or Sunday, March 3. How cool is that?!
The 2013 season at Six Flags Over Texas promises to GO BIG with three all-new shows, a new music festival and the debut of the world record-breaking Texas SkyScreamer. It's going to be great fun this season with exciting special events like Spring Break 2013, Festival Latino, July 4th Fest, Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park.
Go Big! on the Texas SkyScreamer This Summer
Will you ride the new Texas SkyScreamer? It's a swing ride that towers 400 feet above the ground. Open-air swings climb to the top of the tower while spinning round and round. Sound fun? (I'm a chicken!) At full swing, you'll soar in a 124-foot circle at speeds up to 35 miles per hour with the rest of the earth below. (I'll be on the groun watching you all have a good time).
Another highlight this year is the opening of three new entertainment shows. Country Young Gunz is a show that will showcase some of today’s top country performers with a concert-styled production that will feature some of DFW's top country talent. The show will debut in Majestic Theatre in early June. Miss Ruby’s Wild West Cabaret invites guests to be a part of its interactive performance featuring Miss Ruby and the gang. It debuts in late March in the Crazy Horse Saloon.
Looney Tunes: "We Got the Beat" sounds perfect for the younger guests. It's an all-new production that takes place in Lone Star Theatre and will have Bugs Bunny and his pals singing, dancing and laughing to the beat. It opens in early June. My daughter loves riding the rides in Looney Tunes USA so I'm sure we'll be checking out this show soon.
More Flags, More Fun
Guests can also look forward to a new Christian music festival featuring two jam-packed days of music by some of the industry’s hottest artists is on tap to open this season. "Rock the Flags" takes place on March 29-30 featuring artists such as Tenth Avenue North, Kutless, Skillet, The Afters, We As Humans, plus many more.
Six With more than 100 rides, shows and attractions for guests to enjoy, Six Flags Over Texas continues to be one of the most popular travel destinations for Spring Break and the summer months.
