These boot camps are designed to get you in shape fast. Most are five days a week for one hour each day for four weeks, although some camps offer Fitness Blasts of shorter durations. The intense workouts will improve your fitness and strength and might reduce your size, too. The camps include fitness tests before and after and, while the routines are challenging, the instructors are always kind and encouraging. No one is left behind or ridiculed at these boot camps.
Founded in 2001, Boot Camp Fitness, Inc., is the largest boot camp in the Metroplex with twelve locations in Dallas, Mansfield, Frisco, Grapevine, Plano, Highland Park, Sunnyvale, Southlake, Flower Mound, and Carrollton. Each boot camp lasts four weeks and meets for three one-hour sessions each week. They also offer blast camps -- four intense workouts to prepare you for a boot camp or to keep you moving when your schedule makes it difficult to attend a full boot camp. New participants can join for $225 for a four-week boot camp session.
Held outdoors at beautiful White Rock Lake, Dallas Military Fitness offers hour-long classes four or five days a week. $200 gets as many classes as you want to attend for four weeks. $100 guarantees you a space in the Saturday classes during those four weeks only.
This boot camp meets five days a week (Mon-Fri) or three days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) for one hour each day. Camps run for four weeks or two. Morning camps and evening camps are available and are held in Burleson, Fort Worth, Watauga, Mansfield, Arlington, Cedar Hill, Weatherford, and Saginaw.
The Dallas Fort Worth Adventure Boot Camp for Women offers morning and evening classes and also 9:15 a.m. classes for those whose "free" time only happens during school hours. Classes are available in Keller, Colleyville, and Southlake for three, four, or five day per week sessions. A five day, four week session costs $299.
The Dallas County Adventure Boot Camp for Women has three ($199) and five day ($299) hour-long classes lasting four weeks. Some classes are for women-only and some have both men and women. The classes are held in Irving.
The Tarrant County Boot Camp for Women is led by Candy Munson-Lake, a NESTA-certified boot camp instructor and personal trainer. Exercise is conducted outdoors for a more invigorating experience. The parks have pavilions in case of weather. Boot camps are held five days a week for $299 or three days a week for $199 at 5:15 a.m. at River Legacy Park in Arlington and three days a week for $199 at 9 a.m. at Green Valley Community Park in North Richland Hills.
Transformation Boot Camp offers three- and four-week boot camps for three, four, or five days a week. Cost ranges from $135-260. Transformation Boot Camp meets at Brinker International, near the intersection of 635 and Hillcrest in Dallas.
