Many cities across DFW have dog parks where your best friend can exercise and socialize. Most have fresh water fountains for your pet. Some cities are currently building dog parks.
1. Unleashed Indoor Dog Parks
Unfortunately Unleashed Indoor Dog Parks, 5151 Samuell Drive in Dallas, closed June 13, 2010.
2. Tipps Canine Hollow
Large dogs may exercise and socialize on two acres and smaller dogs have one fenced acre. Tipps Canine Hollow provides a safe environment for pet owners to unleash their dogs. Water stations are plentiful and shady areas keep dogs cool.
Hours: 8 a.m. to dusk daily.
Children: Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the dog park, and children under 7 are not allowed in the large dog area. Taser devices are not allowed to be used in the dog park.
Location: 7804 Davis Boulevard in North Richland Hills. Tipps Canine Hollow is in Northfield Park about four miles north of Loop 820.
3. Dog Park at Jack Carter Park
The dog park is a double-gated, fenced, 2-acre area along Bluebonnet Trail, near its intersection with Chisholm Trail in central Plano. The park has benches, picnic tables, water stations for humans and animals, and waste pickup/disposal stations.
Hours: Sunrise to sunset
Children: Children under 10 are not allowed in the dog park. Children 10-16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult

4. Fort Woof Dog Park
Fort Woof provides two large fenced areas for dogs to roam according to weight. Each area has picnic tables (no food of any type in the park) and park benches for humans, a watering station for both humans and dogs, and multiple waste disposal locations, each with a supply of plastic bags.
Hours: 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily.
Address: Gateway Park, north of I-30 between Beach Street and Oakland Blvd., east of downtown.
5. Addison Dog Park (Dome Park)
Hours: 7 a.m. to dark
Location: At the dead end of Le Grande Drive in Addison.
6. Bark Park Central (The Deep Ellum Dog Park)
Hours: 5 a.m. to midnight
Location: Good Lattimer and Commerce (under Hwy 75)
10. Railroad Dog Park
Six-acre park; separate area for small dogs.
Hours: N/A
Location: Valley Ridge Blvd. and Bennett Lane (near Trinity River) Lewisville.
11. Wagging Tail Dog Park
Open Tuesday through Sunday. Closed Mondays.
