Stay Cool in Dallas Spray Parks

By , About.com Guide

If you're looking for a cool place to take the kids this summer, try a spray park. A spray park is a type of park where water shoots up out of the ground and streams from pipes and spouts, bubbles up from the ground or falls from waterfalls.  The water is extremely shallow -- no deeper than a puddle -- so it's safe for kids (and adults) of all ages.

Dallas has 8 spray parks. Great fun for the kids and it's free!

Weekday hours vary at the parks. All parks are open Saturday/Sunday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
