Frisco has several places where you can cool off when temperatures start to climb.
Frisco Splash Parks are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 10 am. to 8 p.m. There's no cost associated with running through the splash parks.
1. J.R. Newman Park

J.R. Newman Park is a playground system with spray ground water feature, covered pavilion, picnic tables, benches, basketball court and sidewalk art. The playground is next door with equipment for both younger and older kids.
J.R. Newman Park is located at 8211 Twin Falls Drive, Frisco, TX 75034. It's at the intersection of Angel Falls and Twin Falls Drive -- west of Teal.
Tip: To turn on the spray ground water features, press the button on the short blue piece of equipment.
2. Shepherds Glen Park
Shepherds Glen Park is located at 12012 Shepherds Hill Drive, Frisco, TX 75034. Rolater Road and Coit Road.
Walking trails, picnic pavilion, playground system, spray ground water feature, practice fields.
