Eastside Mario's is a small Chicago-themed restaurant in DFW's Terminal A, near gate 38. The cozy atmosphere and quick service make this a good choice for a bite during a delay. Faux ivy climbs the walls between murals and old-fashioned lampposts run down the center of the restaurant. Bar stools line a long central table while small two- and four-person tables sit around the edges.
The menu is varied with hotdogs, pizza, lasagna, sandwiches, salads, soup, and fruit cups, among other things. A main dish at Eastside Mario's costs between $3.50 and $8.99. The cold sandwiches looked okay, but I skipped them and got all-beef hot dogs. They were fresh and just the right temperature. Toppings were available at extra charge, but condiments like ketchup, mustard, and relish were provided free in a bin near the register. A wide variety of beverages are offered, including beer and wine ($5-$7.50), bottled water ($2.50), and coffee, tea, juice ($2.82), and milk.
