The Venue:
Billy Bob's is the World's Largest Honky Tonk and it opened back in 1981. The Texas-sized facility has 127,000 square feet of space, which is nearly three acres inside, plus another 20 acres for parking. It holds over 6,000 two-steppers.
Billy Bob's Texas has been named Country Music Club of the Year 8 times by the Academy of Country Music and 3 times by the Country Music Association. That's pure country, folks.
Hours: Monday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sundays from noon to 2 a.m.
Live Bull Riding:
You can't ride a mechanical bull at Billy Bob's Texas but you can catch plenty of PBR (Professional Bull Riding) on the weekends. Bull Riding is held every Friday and Saturday night, with 2 performances, at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
You can't dare your friends to ride a bull. Competitors at Billy Bob's must be pro or semipro athletes—with a rider's card from the sanctioning rodeo organization or recognized competitors. So no, you can't just drink too much and ride a bull.
What you can do is have your photo made by the life-sized bull. Giddyup.

Willie Nelson even holds his annual 4th of July Picnic/Concert at Billy Bob's. It's a huge lineup of all sorts of music and Willie headlines the even.
There's always a great house band so you can kick up your heels and two-step the night away. Tickets available at Billy Bob's box office at 817-624-7117.
