If you're not familiar with The Frisco Bar, it really is a neighborhood bar where old friends meet and new ones are found. That's not just an advertising slogan. You'll quickly meet the owners and staff, who all give of their time for their favorite charity. Von and Rosanne Best have also chaired the organization's Chrysalis Ball event.
Party in the Parking Lot
The weather is predicted to be beautiful on Saturday so guests can party outdoors and enjoy great live music by local bands. Brian Shuck and the Local Legends play between noon and 4 p.m. Suburban Dilemma plays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Slight Breach of Etiquette from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Event Highlight
One of the event's highlights is the silent auction. The auction items are always fabulous and the best thing is that guests are able to text their bids in from their own cell phones. I attended the event last year and walked away with a really cool gift basket. The technology makes bidding fun -- plus you receive alerts when someone outbids you.
Family Fun
It's a family event so bring the kids. They will enjoy games, face painting and an exotic car show.
