DFW Restaurants Open Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

You mailed out Christmas cards. You shopped. You made charitable contributions and bought items for Angel Trees. You attended plays, the office  party and a wedding. Do you really want to cook the Christmas meal, too? If you would like to be pampered and feast on delicious food that someone else cooked, here are some restaurants that you might want to sample.

1. Christmas Eve: Buffalo Bros

Buffalo Bros will serve up wings and subs December 24, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. so you can enjoy the Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills football game.

2. Christmas Eve: Blue Mesa Grill

Celebrate Christmas Eve with a special Blue Mesa Brunch served Saturday, December 24, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy all your favorites like sweet potato chips (guiltless refills!), fresh guacamole, omelet station, mini adobe pies and a suh-weet dessert station. In a word: flan! Locations in Addison, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Southlake.

3. Christmas Eve: Urban Crust Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner

What: Join Urban Crust as they celebrate Christmas Eve with a three course Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner. This special meal originates from the Medieval Roman Catholic Italians who refrained from eating red meat during the sacred holidays and instead enjoyed a feast of seven types of fish on Christmas Eve. Come together with Urban Crust to enjoy a meal composed of several types of fish including mussels, calamari, octopus, shrimp, scallops, crab meat, sea bass, tuna, salmon and flounder. For those who are not seafood lovers, Urban Crust’s regular menu will also be available.

When: Friday, December 24, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

4. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Meals at Mignon

What: Mignon will offer a delicious holiday menu on Saturday, December 24, 2011 from 4:30 to 10 p.m. and on Sunday, December 25, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Cost: $59.95 per person plus tax and gratuity

5. Christmas Eve Dinner at Fearing's

What: Christmas Eve Dinner at Fearing's 

When: Friday, December 24, 2011, 5 to 10 p.m.

Where: Fearing’s Restaurant, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas 2121 McKinney Avenue Dallas, TX 75201

Cost: $100 per adult, $35 for children 12 and under (excludes beverage, tax and gratuity)

Cocktails priced separately and limited to guests at least 21 years of age

Reservations: 214-922-4848.

The restaurant will be closed on Christmas Day.

6. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: Cafe on the Green

Café On The Green is serving Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas Brunch and Christmas Night Dinner. Menus have not been released yet.

Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet is served from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $65/adults, $24 ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under.

A Christmas Brunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $70/adults, $28.50 ages 6-12. 5 and under are free.

Christmas Dinner: is served from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Order holiday items from a special menu. Prices vary.

7. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: craft | DALLAS

Gather the family for a nice yuletide meal served Craft-style. Enjoy a festive Christmas supper full of seasonal favs, but without all the cooking and cleanup. You’ll even go home with any leftovers. Seated four-course meal is only $95* per adult, $45 per child (aged 6-12), and kids under 5 eat for free (*price does not include beverages, tax or gratuity). Specially crafted prix fixe menu.

Main courses include: Chestnut Tortelloni & Black Truffle; Burgundy Snails & Farm Egg; Chatham Cod & Ham Hock; Steelhead Trout & Smoked Roe; Quail & Pecan; Porchetta & Pineapple; Veal Cheeks & Prune; or Sirloin & Bone Marrow.

Christmas Eve Dinner is Saturday, December 24, 2011 with seatings from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Christmas Day Sunday, December 25, 2011 with seatings from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

8. IHOP

I had breakfast at IHOP this morning and noticed that they are open 24-hours a day including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So keep that in mind if you have an anytime craving for some pancakes this holiday season! They even have seasonal hotcakes like White Chocolate Chip Mint or Sweet Eggnog.
