Eggscelent DFW Brunch Destinations

There's nothing more relaxing than a weekend brunch with friends or family. Mimosas, Bloody Marys, gourmet coffees are great ways to jumpstart a lazy weekend. It's all about the choices: eggs fixed 20 different ways, your favorite breakfast meats, sweet rolls and muffins all make dining fun. Tex-Mex brunch buffets offer a host of breakfast items and a few regular meal favs like fajitas and enchiladas too.

What's the best thing about brunch? For some of us, it's bottomless Mimosas. For me, it's being able to sample a variety of items on the buffet. Sometimes I don't like to commit to just one entree -- but sampling several different dishes is a fun way to experience brunch.

If you didn't see your favorite brunch or breakfast spot here, email me at Dallas@AboutGuide.com. DFW has so many fabulous restaurants that it's virtually impossible to eat your way across the Metroplex. But I certainly try!

I've loved Birraporetti's as long as I've lived in the Metroplex (and thats 25 years now). It's always a treat to meet friends here. The Sunday Jazz brunch buffet includes house-made Danish pastries, breads and croissants as well as create-your-own pasta and omelets and a waffle station. Assorted salads, fresh fruit, pizzas, Eggs Benedict, lasagna and roast beef. Dessert table features 7 different sweet treats.

Hours: Sunday brunch buffet served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.

Cost: $18.95 for adults; $8.95 children 10 and under. $7 bottomless mimosas and bellini's.

Birraporetti's, 668 Lincoln Sq, Arlington, TX, 76011. 817-265-0555

Blue Mesa Grill

This is one of my favorite brunch buffets in DFW -- but I'm a fan of the southwest-meets-Mexican flair. Made-to-order omelets, waffle station, fajitas, fresh fruit and all the fresh guacamole and sweet potato chips your desires. Mimosas and champagne included.

Hours: Brunch buffet is served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: Brunch buffet is $17.95 per person and includes champagne, mimosas, gourmet coffee and tea; children 6-10 $6.95

Blue Mesa Grill is located in Addison, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Southlake.
