Dallas loves to eat. Here are some great choices and places you might want to try next.
Artin's Grill
If Artin's is truly a neighborhood gem, then you may be calling a realtor and looking for property nearby. It offers great food, service and atmosphere. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. In a nutshell, the Braised Short Rib nachos are insanely good. Do not share.
bee: best enchiladas ever
This is the best enchilada ever because you are the architect. You choose the type of tortilla, stuffing, sauces and toppings. It's authentic -- the real deal. But mostly, it's muy delicioso. It's in trendy Oak Cliff so be sure to pencil in some time for shopping too.
Update: Sadly, bee has closed but I'm still thinking of the delicious mole sauce.
Bread Winner's Cafe
Breakfast for dinner? Sign me up. Read my review on Chicken 'n Waffles.
Cafe Brazil
It's March and my husband just commented, "Wow! That holiday blend from Cafe Brazil is really good! I'm kinda sad that he found my private coffee stash. It's great and I think you'll love the food too.
DeGolyer Garden Cafe
There's not a more beautiful setting in all of DFW. The Dallas Arboretum is seasonally the best outdoor setting in town.
Fedora Northern Italian Cuisine
Fedora serves up classic Northern Italian cuisine in the Arts District. Best of all, it's made fresh the moment you order it. Don't plan to dine and run off somewhere quickly. Come in and enjoy Northern Italian hospital, conversation and the ambience that only Fedora can serve up.
In-N-Out Burger
I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about. It's a burger and this is Texas. We do burgers. Well. Locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Allen and Frisco.
Lazaranda
Lazaranda isn't your typical taco joint. It serves up excellent Mexican dishes with lots of seafood like Bolo's Mahi and many different ceviches. Save room for the Chocolate Tamale.
Max's Wine Dive
I said there were 6 brunch items you should taste -- but there are so many wonderful dishes on Max's menu. Don't stop at six. (I could eat six cinnamon rolls though).
