Marie Antoinette Parfumerie and Spa is a boutique shop full of scented soaps, lotions, candles, and fragrances. The parfumerie part of the name refers to the upscale scents and scent accessories – like silky slippers to wear as you pretend you're Joan Crawford putting on perfume. Purchases are neatly wrapped in colorful tissue. At one end, there's even a flower bar.
The spa offers massage therapy (chair or table, Swedish, hot stone, and reflexology) accompanied by aromatherapy and nail services.
The Pedicure
I decided to have a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was in the upstairs loft, which consists of a nicely decorated sitting room with comfortable sofa and chair and another private room for massages.
I sat in the chair and my feet soaked in a warm, massaging tub with pink, yellow, and red rose petals – a nice touch. This was followed by all the buffing and trimming and massage of a pedicure. The sugar scrub left my feet especially soft and lightly scented with orange and cinnamon.
