Galleria Dallas

From , former About.com Guide

With a design inspired by Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy and sculpture commissioned for the mall, the Galleria Dallas is an architectural and artistic beauty. Its four floors hold more than two hundred stores anchored by American Girl Boutique and Bistro, Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Westin Galleria (hotel), and three stores in one anchor: Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy.

For a break from shopping, try the ice rink on the lowest level. Those with kids can take them to the play area or, on weekends, Slappy's Puppet Playhouse.

A day of shopping and entertainment requires sustenance and the Galleria Dallas provides plenty. Twenty-eight restaurants offer everything from fast food burgers and fries to sushi to light cafe fare.

M-Sat, 10am-9pm; Sun, noon-6pm.
