Plano shopping center hosts Family Fall Festival Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Some good old-fashioned fun is in store on Saturday, October 29, 2011 when Collin Creek Mall hosts a Family Fall Festival complete with mall-wide trick or treating. Children and adults are invited to dress in costume [no masks or fully painted faces allowed] and stop by for some socializing, trick-or-treating and lots of activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m..

The Family Fall Festival was organized to commemorate the season and to celebrate Halloween. Everyone is encouraged to wear a Halloween costume and come enjoy the games, activities, and even a little store-to-store trick or treating.

The fun starts at 11 a.m. in the lower level center court and activities include:

  • Make-and-take craft activity stations will be set up throughout Center Court and children can decorate a pumpkin, embellish a bag for trick-or-treating or make a bracelet.
  • God’s Food Pantry will be at the Fest, accepting donations of non-perishable food items. Just for fun, little guests can enjoy having their faces painted.
  • For a sweet surprise, children can decorate a cupcake with icing and sprinkles.
  • From 3 to 4 p.m., children in costume* will be able to trick or treat in Center Court and visit participating retailers for candy and surprises.
  • Ares, the crime-fighting canine, will be at the Halloween Kids Fest and children can visit with him and his handler.
  • Spooky Story Time will be held at various times throughout the day and children can sit a spell and enjoy a Halloween reading.
  • More sweet treats: Great American Cookies will be handing out samples to all guests.
  • The Chick-fil-A cow will be roaming through Center Court, posing for photos with guests.
  • There is no charge to attend the Trick or Treat Party at Collin Creek Mall. Children and adults are invited to wear costumes, but individuals may not wear face masks or have fully painted faces.
