Chocolate, sweet chocolate. It's one of the most popular gift ideas each Valentine's Day. It doesn't matter if you like milk or dark chocolate, with or without nuts, on a stick, wrapped up in a box with a big red ribbon or not, DFW has some suh-weet suggestions to make your Valentine's Day perfect.

There's nothing wrong with the chocolates that come from the supermarket -- but gourmet chocolates and confections made with premium ingredients will show your sweetie that you put forth the extra effort. Smart.

PS: I love dark chocolate!!!!

5. DFW Florists That Really Deliver

Here are some of our readers' favorite local florists that really deliver. Feel free to share your favorites with us too! Fresh flowers always brighten my day, put a big smile on my face and make my home smell fresh. Taking proper care of your fresh flowers is vital to their longevity. Change the water daily (or at least every other day) and add the little packet of freshener that's delivered with the flowers. It really well help extend the life of the bouquet. If one isn't delivered, simply add about a tablespoon of bleach.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Happy Valentine's Day
